Tathagath Tulsi the youngest professor at IIT
Tathagath Avtar Tulsi is perhaps the youngest professor in the world. Dr Tathagath will join IIT Bombay as a teacher of Physics.
He has the distinction to complete high school at the age of 9, had a B.Sc at 10, an M.Sc in Physics at 12, and a PhD in Quantum Computing from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, at 21. In 2003, Time named him among the world’s seven most gifted youngsters. Now, at age 22, Patna-born prodigy Tathagat has perhaps become the youngest assistant professor at IIT.
Though Tulsi had offers from Waterloo University (Canada) and the Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER), Bhopal, he has agreed to join the prestigious IIT of Bombay.

Major Rushikesh Ramani

In March 2009, he was posted as the company commander of an infantry company located along the Line of Control passing through dense forests 10 Kms West of Kupwara district of Jammu & Kashmir to check and contain infiltration of terrorists from across the Line of Control.

60th Republic Day of India
Today India celebrates its 60th Republic Day of India. This day marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India and the transition of India from a British Dominion to a republic state on January 26, 1950. The Constitution of India came into effect only on January 26, 1950, 10.18 AM IST, which was an outcome of the draft commissioned on August 29, 1947.
